I’ve always loved natural materials at home. Several, hopefully sustainable, trees have been felled to fill my house with wooden furniture and there’s a substantial amount of slate on the floors.

So you can imagine how excited I was to discover this stunning stone splashback from Mandarin Stone.

Part of a collection called ‘Splitface‘, these tiles are perfect for a kitchen feature wall. Not only is texture is very ‘in’ right now, these tiles don’t need any grouting, so are really easy to fit.

The only downside is that if you’re using them behind a wet area, you’ll need to waterproof the wall but I feel it’s a small price to pay.

Available in a variety of shades from creams to blacks from a purse-friendly £40 per sqm.

      Hi Sue

Thank you for your email regarding the kettle on the BK blog. We don’t know where that exact kettle is from, however the Ready Steady Cook Bistro Stainless Steel Stove Top Whistling Kettle, £29.99, from Amazon is similar. Please click on the link below to view it.

Thank you for leaving us a comment. We hope this is helpful.
