    Stainless-steel wine cooler

Saturday. And for me, this weekend, it’s one that will be spent catching up on chores and taking my new adorable little kittens (see below) to get their very first jabs. So after a day’s housework I will be more than ready to put my feet up and open a bottle of wine… oh, who am  I kidding, I did that last night!

    My 9-week old kittens

I believe many of us appreciate the relaxing qualities of a good glass of vino and it’s only fitting that it should be stored correctly and at the right temperature. Caple has the same belief and has recently introduced its range of stainless-steel wine coolers. With a stainless-steel front, plinth and handles and beech sliding interior shelves, it’s certainly a stylish bit of kitchen kit. What I particularly like are the reversible doors on all single-door coolers, making it a lot more flexible than other models.

Each cabinet features LED lighting and is completely UV and heat-free, using compressor cooling technology to maintain a constant temperature, no matter how hot (or cold) your kitchen may become.

The slimmest cooler, the WI3113 measures 29.5cm wide and costs from £400. Happy drinking!

    BK Dwell wine rack

Having decided that the windowsill probably isn’t the most glamorous way to store wine, I’ve been on the hunt for a wine rack for a while now. You wouldn’t think it would be too difficult, yet although there are tons out there, most were either too large, or too traditional for my taste. I wanted a rack that would fit neatly on my worktop and, having searched high and low I finally find this aluminium Clover wine rack from Dwell, £39.95. It holds four bottles, but if that isn’t enough, they also do a six-bottle version for £69. Now all I have to worry about is replenishing supplies as needed!
